Accused in Bangladesh MP Murder Extradited to India

Kolkata: Siam Hussain, arrested in Nepal and extradited to India, is being questioned by the West Bengal CID regarding the murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar. Anar, who went missing in May, was smothered to death in Kolkata. Human remains have been recovered from Bagjola canal in South 24 Parganas, with autopsy and DNA profiling pending. Anar was allegedly killed by illegal immigrants hired by a U.S.-based Bangladeshi businessman.

Ved Lahoti Tops JEE (Advanced) from IIT Delhi Zone; Over 48,000 Qualify

New Delhi: Ved Lahoti from the IIT Delhi zone topped the JEE (Advanced) exam, scoring 355 out of 360 marks. Of the 1.8 lakh candidates who appeared, 48,248 cleared the test. Aditya Kumar and Bhogalpalli Sandesh secured the second and third ranks respectively. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel was the top female candidate with 332 marks, ranking seventh overall. The results were announced by IIT Madras, the organizing institute. Lahoti, from Indore, plans to study computer science at IIT Bombay, aiming for AI research.
