“Supreme Court Slams CAQM, Orders Strict Anti-Pollution Measures in Delhi”

As Delhi suffocates under hazardous air, the Supreme Court criticized the Commission on Air Quality Management (CAQM) for delayed action and mandated the continuation of Stage IV restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), even if AQI improves. Schools shifted to online classes, and construction activities remain halted. The court highlighted negligence, citing AQI levels of 994 in its own premises, and directed NCR states to strictly implement GRAP-IV without delay.
