Starlink Services May Cost 14 Times More Than Telcos in India

Mumbai, March 14, 2025 – Analyst reports indicate that Starlink’s satellite internet services may cost 10-14 times more than Jio and Airtel in India. While Jio and Airtel offer annual corporate plans for ₹10,898 to ₹15,146 for 100-200 Mbps, Starlink’s annual plan for 50-200 Mbps is priced at ₹2,15,600. Analysts warn that high costs may limit Starlink’s scalability, especially in rural areas. Starlink still needs government licences to provide internet access in India.
