“PM Modi Urges G-20 to Prioritize Global South Amid Food and Fuel Crises”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the G-20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, highlighted the severe impact of global conflicts on food, fuel, and fertilizer supplies in the Global South. Praising Brazil for advancing New Delhi’s “One Earth, One Family, One Future” vision, he called for inclusive solutions. Modi showcased India’s initiatives like pulling 250 million out of poverty, free food grain distribution to 800 million, and climate-resilient agriculture. A global alliance against poverty and hunger was also launched, gaining support from 80 nations.
