Atishi Resigns as Delhi CM, to Continue Till New Government Forms

New Delhi – Delhi Chief Minister Atishi submitted her resignation to Lieutenant-Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Sunday, following the BJP’s decisive victory in the Delhi Assembly election. The L-G asked her to continue in office until a new government is formed. Atishi took over as Chief Minister in September 2024 after Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation. She won the Kalkaji seat in the recent election but her party, AAP, faced a significant defeat.
